Licenced Professionals – an introduction
Our love and passion for dogs, and the pleasure they provide inspired us to start MyWaggyTails.
As long standing dog and pet owners ourselves, we know exactly what we want for our pets, the much loved members of our family that they are. So we set out to provide it for others.
We’re a family business and we provide love, care and that personal touch for every pet. Perhaps we’re sometimes guilty of preferring the company of 4-legged fur-balls, and the consistent familiarity and joys our pets bring to the vagaries of some fellow humans. Hey, we’re just being honest here.
Finding ourselves regularly booked up and wanting to share our knowledge and experience with others, we are growing the business by finding like minded, caring animal lovers, happy to invest in their own professional development to ensure that together we consistently provide the best service possible for our animal loving customers.
The MyWaggyTails commitment is that every partner is comprehensively trained including canine first aid, DBS/CRB checked and we’re all fully insured. Where we provide Home Boarding and Day Care services, each partner has been comprehensively inspected by their local authority against very exacting standards laid down by DEFRA.
Every potential customer has pass an ‘audition’ – the 3 Step Check to becoming a MyWaggyTails customer:- 1/ Completion of our Pet Information Form inc medical and behavioural information; 2/ A personal ‘Meet and Greet’ assessment with the pet and its owner 3/ An introduction to other pets in our care at that time and a trial experience.
Some pets are not as well socialised as we would wish, or existing pets in our care resent the arrival of a new dog. Maybe they’re overly possessive or suffer from separation anxiety. Our first obligation is the happiness and safety of all the pets in our care, including any new pet. Occasionally we have to decline to accept taking on a new customer, just because the existing dynamics means it’s not in your pet’s interests. We’re sorry, but we think it’s important to flag that such things do happen.

Chinnor and the surrounding towns and villages of Aston Rowant, Bledlow, Bledlow Ridge, Chearsley, Chilton, Christmas Common, Crowell, Emmington, Haddenham, Henton, Ickford, Kingsey, Kingston Blount, Kingston Stert, Lewknor, Monks Risborough, Long Crendon, Longwick, Radnage, Scotsgrove, Shabbington, Stokenchurch, Sydenham, Towersey and Watlington.
Chorley and the surrounding towns and villages of Adlington, Buckshaw Village, Charnock Richard, Chorley, Clayton-le-Woods, Coppull, Eccleston, Euxton, Rivington and Standish.
Inverness and the surrounding villages and suburbs of Dalneigh, Ballifeary, Scourguie, Kinmylies, Leachkin, Bught, Clachnaharry and Holm.

We’re small enough to care but professional enough to cope.
Our aim is to provide you with excellent pet care. We offer care 7 days a week.

Comprehensive insurance
We have the comprehensive insurance cover including care and custody of animals, public liability, non-negligent cover, third party liability, property damage, employer’s liability and key cover. This means that in the unlikely event of an emergency we are covered for every eventuality.
Team of experienced people
Your pets are in good hands – there are vet nurses, dog trainers and dog behaviourists on call. This means that if you need help with training your dog we can provide you with some tips and work with you.
Security measures
Vehicles we use for Home visits aren’t marked, so it isn’t obvious that you aren’t at home. We take data protection very seriously and adhere to the regulations of the Act. All of your personal information is kept completely confidential. We also never put personal or address details with door keys.
Safety first
Some dog walkers walk large groups of dogs at one time. We don’t do this. We want your dog to experience a fun filled walk whilst under constant supervision, without being bombarded by lots of big dogs! We comply with the best practice recommended guidelines produced by the RSPCA, The Dog’s Trust and the Pet Industry Federation.
Local authority licensed
Our Home Boarding and Day Care partners are inspected annually by the relevant local authority and they license us for the dogs in our care. This provides peace of mind that we meet strict requirements, including adhering to health and safety policies, pet friendly homes and venues and a positive ‘engagement’ plan for your pets.
Emergency vet care
We have 24-hour access to emergency vet care. All of our partners have built up great relationships with their local vet. Whilst we will always take your pet to your own vet, if required, we do have the contingency of a close by emergency service.
Pet first aid training
We send all of our team on a pet first aid training day. This means that we can act quickly and effectively if your dog cuts a paw or has an accident.
Attention to detail
When we walk dogs we allow extra time (in addition to the walk) to provide fresh water, towel downs and some fuss. We allow time on home visits for cat visits to give us time to clean, refill feed and water bowls and check on your pets. You are more than welcome to book more time if your pets like a good cuddle.
